Assess your knowledge.

Practice tests are an integral part of learning basic electrocardiography. They assess your acquired knowledge of the ECG to determine if there are any gaps and help with retention of information. Below are 5 ECG practice tests with over 100 ECG quiz questions. There is a separate ECG practice test for each part of the book so you can evaluate your knowledge of that part before moving on to the next one. All of the ECG strips are high resolution for easy interpretation. There are page references available after each answer in case you want to review that topic again in ECG Simplified.

Part 1

The Basics

Part 1 ECG Quiz (34 questions)

Tests you on the ECG basics: ECG leads and the area of the heart they represent, naming and measuring the QRS complex, locating and measuring the PR and QT intervals, determining the QRS axis, evaluating the P wave, measuring the heart rate, identifying sinus rhythm and more.

Part 2

Morphological
Abnormalities

Part 2 ECG Quiz (14 questions)

Tests your ability to identify different morphological abnormalities on the ECG including left and right bundle branch blocks, fascicular blocks, myocardial infarction and ischemia, atrial abnormalities, left ventricular hypertrophy and more.

Part 3

Rhythm
Disturbances

Part 3 ECG Quiz (35 questions)

Tests your ability to identify different rhythm disturbances on the ECG including atrial rhythms, junctional rhythms, supraventricular tachyarrhythmias, ventricular arrhythmias and tachyarrhythmias, Atrioventricular (AV) conduction blocks and WPW.

Part 4

Miscellaneous

Part 4 ECG Quiz (8 questions)

Tests your ability to identify ECG abnormalities related to an electrolyte disturbance, a pacemaker, lead misplacement and more.

The Final

Final ECG Quiz (16 questions)

Tests your ability to correctly read and interpret several challenging ECGs.
